brill.... honestly... not sure where the intake is on those but looks like a low gear and a gentle build up following in their bow wave and they'd have been ok.

I agree. As it is, they've probably got an engine full of water, one or more buckled con rods and a big bill for the Old Bill! (Oh, silly me, I meant a big bill for US)! Guess they;re going to have to get scamming to pay for that one! Mind you, as scamera vans don't ever catch ofenders, they don't need an engine anyway - they could just tow it to a motorway bridge, open the door and start scamming. Even environmentally friendly scamming!

Nice to see nature making them stick to the 4mph limit on inland waterways

Reminds me of an incident a few years ago. I saw a landrover discovery fly into a flood in much the same fashion. I was following in my mum's mini metro. I waited for the water to calm down then (with a little local knowledge; the pavement on the right had a very high curb so i had two wheels on that) drove through at a nice and steady 3-4mph :D

The disco driver was waving his arms; apparently if he couldn't get through nobody could. I said I would pull him out but neither of has had a rope!!
