Two damaged cameras have been replaced, one on the A128 replaced last month and one in theydon bois, recently. What with the ECHR thing on the 27th this month, why are they replacing them, before they know the outcome . Atb Derek.

Because they are on a runaway gravy train.

I've been thinking about this (I know it's dangerous of me) but doe's anyone think that because the Government sense they might loose at the ECHR on the 27th it's the reason they have made the amendments to this:

Rebalancing the criminal justice system in favour of the law-abiding majority Cutting crime, reducing reoffending and protecting the public Home Office July 2006

And brought in this:



What do they class as procedural irregularities?

They're not going to lose though. It would cost the UK taxpayer billions.

The EHCR are not exactly that worried if a ruling costs a member state a few million or 50 judging by past rulings.

17 judges. And none of them are paid by the UK government.

The ONLY lever that government UK can pull this time is a persuasive case, and I don't think they have one.

please let it be true.

Theres an interesting quote in the west mercia faq section of the website. basically saying something like '....even if the appeal to ECHR is successful that doesn't mean you shouldn't do what we tell you now as these cases will pre date any judgement'

everything is crossed.
