I see it advertised regularly and it does promise loads. Is it a scam or is it worth shelling out £20.

Pepipoo knows more and is free (although like Safe Speed depends on donations for survival).

However sometimes having a book to read might mean that you happen across a particular 'golden' piece of information that is vital to your defence.

A couple of years back, I invited them to send me a copy for review. They didn't. I wonder why?

I have got a copy of the 2nd edition (2000). It is not a bad read although there is only 116 pages in my copy and a lot of the advice is common sense. Especially the what to say and more importantly what not to say to the police bits.

I suspect this book was written in pre speed camera era when politeness to traffic police or a well written letter might get you off a minor offence. I do not think there is much in the book which could be used against the money grabbing at all costs camera partnerships.

Some of the advice would still in my view hold good eg you are stoped for a minor matter such as a non working stop light and given a fpn or on a really bad day reported for possible prosecution a letter to the police pointing out that this matter could have been dealt with via the vehicle defect rectification scheme and asking why it was not might still work.

Overall interesting but not really worth the money when viewed alongside web sites like Safe Speed and Pepi Poo.

I'd assume such things get out-of-date fairly rapidly anyhow.
