i met a PCSO ouside my daughters school patroling the zig zag lines, very nice she was as well, i would rather see a PCSO doing this lower level of patrol than a PC,

another point i am around 90% certain i saw a PCSO in the passenger seat of our local camera van

Interesting, the only person that’s met one has a positive opinion of them.

Yes, and sexist.

Otherwise you would say MPC for a bloke, wouldn’t you.

Mike,

I have unfortunatly met and seen too many PCSOs.

I knew little about their powers or lack of them till I read various acts and such here..

Mike why would I make this up..PLEASE !!!!
I know where I stand on this and will reveal the result of my appeal once announced WIN or LOSE

I will report the result in case as a warning to others ....

PCSOs are just a waste of time and money to me...only you would disagree for some reason.... :P

I think they set this particular trap up in St Helens to give them something ..well .

1) SOMETHING to do...

2) Sonething to make em feel ..like they belong.. :( :(

3) TO MAKE THEMSELVES ...HATED

hmmm, as you agreed several pages ago, this particular speed trap is located at a position of a very high hazard density. Only a special category of idiot would travel over the posted speed limit where the hazards include senior citizens (from both the dance club and the old folks home on the right) children (from the terraced houses on the left) and slow moving shoppers (exiting the supermarket car park on an uphill gradient). There are few places with that high a hazard density in my experience.

Perhaps that's why there is a speed trap there, as idiot drivers don't look beyond the strip of tarmac immediately in front of their bonnets when they select what they think is a "safe" speed.

Exactly what a lot of people on this site are saying - IF the idiots are that UNSAFE - why just take their picture - 14 days later they get a fine - no educational attachment - next day they go out on same road (this time the camera is missing, but the OAPs ain't ) and the idiots still ain't got a clue why they were fined.

The correct way was as per years gone past ( and surprise, surprise as parcticed in the safest county in the UK--A human being stops them, torches their rear end ,issues education and ticked ) and tomorrow they SHOULD be driving at a more reasonable speed ---AND as (TO MODIFY ONE OF HIS PHRASES ) Paul Daniels might say " that's road safety"

and that's what happened in this case - Mrs. Hornetsandy was stopped in her tracks and Mr. Horsentandy has been in a terrible bind about it ever since!

Whats that ??

Suddenly memory returns from younger years - he remembers blokes patroling streets, driving arounf in cars, arresting criminals, solving crimes, keeping roads safe ---seeing a beat bobby on the street corner.
Perhaps we need a visit to the Museum to see on of these again ,with their blue uniform , pointy hat and sense of humour and justice.

Perhaps thats whats needed to solve the crime epidemic in the UK - POLICEMEN.

Plenty of coppers, they arrest some of the same people thirty forty times, it’s the justice system/courts that aren’t pulling their weight.

Im sick of telling people she wasnt speeding.. !!! Unless you CAN PROVE otherwise ??? !!!!

PCSO operating Laser wrong.. SIMPLE !

You know the place..I do... I always slow down near there ..traffic density (At times) will not allow you to travel at more THAN 30 MPH...and you know it..you clearly mention that !

Where in this post have I said she was speeding ????

Me my licence is clean ..but if I see open clear road ... = Safe Speed !!!

I have seen MANY police astras , and other Police cars tear down there..exempt are they..do they watch out for the OAPS you mention ???

Please come one now......!!!

YOU know and I Know..once they hear IR CALL IR CALL..Blue lights and BOY watch out !!!! they dont take any notice of OAPs etc etc. Im suprised we dont see more POL ACCS !!!!!i

If this location is SO SACRED... Traffic calming measures work very well !!!!

No this is sport for Laser toting PCs and PCSOs ...

Thanks ...

She wasnt speeding ..she doesnt ..and tells HA off for going too fast ! in his high powered car.. Not that I ever speed

There are worst things happin every day..and for some all you see is excess speed = End of World...

Please tell me which world do you live in .. I am intrigued ????

Yes he and his wife had a street party with a couple of PSCO's and a WPC, and it was a most disagreeable experiece, it would appear.

fatboytim

Street Party ...

Boy Was it..

and it was a most disagreeable experiece, it would appear.

You should have been there ..BOY they need help !!

PC did state she didnt want to be there..with these two...REAL scary they were in those force glasses, and thank god they took away the height limit.

..I should feel sorry for them...probably bullied at school, and unloved at home ... bless em ... I rest my case !!! I am still laughing at em !!!

I am starting to feel pity for them, you see bobbies on the beat..when you were a kid...respect..

PCSOs how can they command respect ??? ..Mike go and get a life !!!! and take your mates with you ...Thanks

Sir, with so many posts ...calling people who fall foul of this trap IDIOTs is that called for ??? Did you see the evidence against HAs poor wife ?????

Sir .,

You have no evidence to support your statement !!!!!

I reserve statements such as Idiot drivers to include...

Those guilty of UTMV - Stealing cars, no insurance and alike... also responsible for killing most people in RTAs

3 times over drink limit,

and people who do 60mph down a road when kids coming out of a school...please think ... carefully HAs wife not DOING 60 ..just slightly over SL..please come on !!!!

Thank You ....
