Merry Christmas to the life saving safety cameras.
And I wish them a not very prosperous 2007. May their business plans founder.. May common sense prevail and please can we have our policemen back?
A toast to COAST!
Perhaps more emphasis on reducing error, promoting manners and as one reader writes to my sister's local paper ..the Bolton News... a bit more of the "Please" and "Thank You" words in our everyday lives and just maybe we will be that much safer, calmer and cultured.
I wish all on here - whether they chat with us, lurk on us, browse occasionally a belated personal Happy Christmas and a Highly Successful New Year.
Wildy

cooked several fine meals and is at least original with the leftovers.. so far have had curried goose on noodles, followed by turkey curry on wild rice .. followed by poultry leftovers encased in creamy leek and ham sauce.. laced with apple wine) and topped with a light puff pastry which literally floated..
Her mince pies are always a little easy on the brandy ... but still very tasty.
By the way .. should put this in "Cycling" but turkey is their Wonder Food this week. I leave it to IG to post as he really loves that mag. I get it every three weeks as Wildy naturally prefers a Swiss publication and I find it gives my hard acquired language skills at least a tune up
Like the any skill - including driving/biking/cycling/horse-riding - computer skills, winter sport skills - whatever .. - you have to use or lose 'em .
Back to turkey...
Rich in protein and zinc. We do use the carcas to make the broth or stock to base soups on.
But I will take this opportunity to point out that traditional Christmas Fayre is actually very nutritional and good for you! Lean Roast Turkey or Pork or Goose or Chicken or Beef with seasonal vegetables and gravy.. and let's not forget the benefits of a decent claret.. and a plum pudding or rich dried fruit pudding in a white sauce laced with either rum or brandy dependent on taste... might be rich .. but once the body has absorbed the nutritional values - this same pud "detoxes" the natural way.
But all the best for rest of Festive Season and as the late and very great Dave Allen used to say
May Your God Go With You
