Unfortunately the 61 year old driver and passengers were injured. So far .. no one has established how or why this incident occurred. Whilst one is relieved no one was seriously hurt.. one cannot help the irony of the situation :o

It seems it turned out of the bus station on Moor Lane.. into Black Horse Street and just "swung towards the Court Building"

A woman witness said

Quote:

It came out of the bus station and was turning left towards Deansgate and for some reason just carried on turning and headed towards the Court building.

If it had happened a second later .. me and my children would have been killed by this. It happened so quickly. We were in our car travelling home from picking the kids up from school when it happened

Another though a bomb had gone off in the court building. Then saw the bus on the Crown Court steps.

The driver was shaken but not injured. Three passengers were taken to hospital as a precaution and one had a cut knee. Two other passengers were treated for shock at the scene but refused to go to hospital over it.

:scratchchin: Bus had some defect? :?

It couldn't be that the bus driver was seriously p*ssed off about a speeding ticket could it?

:rotfl:

Wildy :neko: said the same thing when she saw this story :rotfl:

No one was hurt in this incident.. I think the photo does warrant a little "Top Gear" type fun as in "caption comp"

Have to say .. love the "journalese" as it "ploughed into the building" and "four were injured" and on page two I read that these people had very minor bruises and a small cut.

Given news reports around Carlisle, could it be the driver is campaigning to have steps installed at bus stops for the benefit of disabled passengers?

Did the passengers get a refund, or were they season ticket holders??
