Not only is the scooter rider an idiot, but the car driver following so closely is simply not aware that the scooter could go down under his wheels in an instant!
I believe the filming is being done from another scooter. Still dim, but not quite as suicidal as you suppose. He is going very slowly.

Why pay £70, why not put enough in to get you to a station that accepts your card?

If you are expected to use certain stations, do you not have some sort of map which tells you where these station are?

Shell - this week a station is Shell - next week it's not. Some stations accept a card - others do not - i always go in and ask first , but then it's not easy when the berk behind the counter says "it's ok, we acept that one " and when pay time comes - "it's been rejected"----or "it's not valid here " .
Ok - what next - put in £5 out of your pocket and waste time looking for a Genuine SHELL station ( a dieing breed , i can tell you). But then it looks good in the accounting office.(BTW - what is the consumption of a Transit - I KNOW - DO YOU?)
Not taking P - but it's easy to sit in office ,with map and critizise drivers on road , in strange places with only an idea of how to get there and back, not of garages that accept a fuel card.

Well that sounds a bit odd, my brother in law has a card for his company car and it is accepted anywhere, and used buy anyone driving the car. I would have thought there would be some sort of contract between the providers of the card and the providers of the fuel.

It was just a suggestion, as you where complaining about being up to £70 out of pocket, your choice, just an idea. :bunker:
How am I supposed to know what you are driving? My crystal ball is not working very well at the moment  (BTW-what is the consumption of a Afla 147 (1.6) I KNOW- DO YOU?)

If you are in a strange place, I assume you will be using a map or some sort of Navigational aid. I believe the AA in their directions give you petrol stations, which are on route. I have OS maps with petrol stations highlighted. If you are delivering something (for example) what’s to stop you asking “Could you tell me where the nearest ------- Garage is?”

Probably that is an ALL STAR card - Mine is either BP/SHELL or Shell/TOTAL or SHELL Only - so work that one out - various fron van to van - and at ????/

wOULD BE FUNNY IF I WASN'T IN PLACE I NEEDED FUEL TO GET OME

I suspect if you're a trucker, £70 is what you need to limp to a suitable station. I've seen those guys paying £300-£400 on fuel cards sometimes.

Bwahahaha! How long do you expect that to remain in date?

I don't use a fuel card, I just drive an import that expects 100RON petrol and suffers from detonation if it doesn't get it, thus I have to limit myself to Shell V-Power or Tesco 99, and carry a box of octane boosters in the boot. This is actually worse than the fuel card situation as I have to wait until I have used around 50 litres in order to get the mixture right. I have a 60 litre tank.

I've done quite well until today, where after checking the nearest station on Shell's website I set off for it, discovered that it had since been sold to BP, decided to limp to the next nearest station (Corey services on the M6), got stuck in an unexpected traffic jam (it was only 2PM) for half an hour and ran out 10 miles before the services.

Fortunately the RAC were bloody good about this, and the guy actually turned up with a can of V-Power and the recipt to prove it.

Shame about the highway maintenance tosser who pulled up 10 metres in front of my while the RAC was filling up my car and started fiddling with one of the signs.. thanks mate L1 is moving at 70mph now, how the hell are we both supposed to get moving again?

So, umm, yeah, if Shell cant even keep their own website up to date, do you think their map will be any better?
