Before these brain dead people pass their tests they seem to have behaviour problems behind the wheel :nono: . So the DSA have taken these steps.

There are some interesting comments at the bottom of the article

I think this was the best solution
Quote:
It seems to me that if a candidate fails and is violent to the examiner that they should
* be banned from re-sitting the test for a period of time (the more violent the longer the period) ( possibly?)
* have to pay double in order to pay for the additional examiner in the car
* automatically be taken to court

If they are violent on failing their test, then they will most likely be violent on the road.

It seams that the driving test center are not doing their duty as an employer to ensure their employees are safe with known hot heads. There must be a duty to of care to the employee including providing an extra examiner at a loss in these circumstances.

Having been in customers houses there was never a question of my employer providing assistance in rough areas. And the customer was not doubled charged because they might have presented a risk. This included providing phone services for tagging and a restricted dialing for an alcaholic farmer who let of a shotgun from the living room at a fox during our last visit

Devil's advocate mode on:

If someone is truly a violent or anti social little scrote, they are probably goimg to drive illegally anyway.

The other is the standard of the test, imagine you have been failed three tests in a row by an examiner:

1. Failing to carry out an emergency stop, yet had the learner stopped they would have been hit by the car behind that was tailgating

2. failed for poor observation despite talking out loud giving a form of commentary, when asked after being told they had failed, they were told that the commentary wasn't top be counted

3. next test candidate made a show of observeing, moving head when moving the eyes would have worked, putting thier hand on the rear view mirror before setting of to make a show of adjusting it before the drive. failed for the opinion of the examiner that the mirror wasn't adjusted properly for the drive TOO the test centre and 'excessive head movement'

Tests, 4,5 & 6 were all different examiners

4. Failed for not being aggressive enough, thought being an aggressive driver was a bad thing??

5. failed being TOO agressive.

6. Past the test despite some God awful f*!k ups

Now, again being devil's advocate if this representative of the standard and manner of examiners, is this going to defuse a situation, have no effect or inflame a 'stressful or 'emotive' situation??

Devil's advocate mode off, Despite the IMO balls ups on tests 1-5 I did manage to contain my frustration and persevere.

Could this problem be anything to do with the pass/fail quotas I've heard about?

A magistrate could now effectively impose this by banning the person from driving. I'm not sure how long they can do this for, even a year would be a good start. That said, those who bother to take a test are one step above those who never bother, but I think a lot of people who drive illegally must have taken and failed a test once and never bothered again.

Smeggy, not sure mate but my instructor after test 2, told me that there was no way he was going to put me in for a test in the third week of that month, as he said that there was no way I'd pass, ditto after test 4.

He obviously could see some sort of pattern... Quotas or just random ???
