I've been meaning to create this poll for many months, and have just been reminded obliquely to do so by http://www.safespeed.org.uk/forum/viewt ... 509#132509

You'll need five or so minutes to complete a handfull of questions. When you have time, please follow http://www.teamtechnology.co.uk/mmdi-re/mmdi-re.htm . There are no right and wrong answers, this is all about preferences. The result will give you a four-letter "Type indicator", which is what I'm interested in. Please click the box indicating your type in this poll.

The website follows it up with more.

Of course, if you have completed a MBTI within the last year or so and can remember the result, just go with it :-)

Many thanks.

I just realised that ISTJ never came out in the poll options. I'm going to try to add it now. If I fail, and you turn out ISTJ, please post so in here.

Edit: I succeeded - ISTJ now a valid tick option.

I wondererd if there was a strong bias of "N" type here instead of "S" type. I expected there to be so. Let me count....

Yes. 10 to 3. Not large enough to be statistically significant, but makes me think I just might be right.

I came out ISTJ (which fits).

Why would you expect a majority of N's over S's?

Quote:
If you prefer to deal with facts, what you know, to have clarity, or to describe what you see, then your preference is for Sensing. This is denoted by the letter "S".

If you prefer to deal with ideas, look into the unknown, to generate new possibilities or to anticipate what isn't obvious, then your preference is for Intuition. This is denoted by the letter "N" (the letter I has already been used for Introversion).

I'm not sure, I just intuitively do :-D .. More seriously, whilst Paul has uncovered a lot and managed to present a lot of corroborating facts and numbers, the main reason he embarked on this - and the main reason I originally came here, was because, in both cases, we KNEW BY INSTINCT cameras were bad for road safety.

I also, I think, would expect more P-type than J-type to join.

Having said that, I would expect the S/J members to be EVEN STRONGER in their convictions once they got here!

Well I was right with the N bias (now 12 to 3 which is significant in the sample size), but wrong - at least not significantly right - with the P bias (8 to 7).

Thanks folks.

Trouble with the test I did (when I finally found one that didn't want me to pay/register) was that they were all yes/no questions, and a lot of the time my ideal answer was "I don't really care/have a strong preference either way".

I'm sure that says a lot about my personality....

INFP for me. I see I'm not alone.

Here Paul, you're not going to use these results to suspend anyone are you?

(Only joking!!)

I'm EN(T/F)P but usually go with the T I'm not suprised with the high numbers of ENTP's given our free thinking rebellious collective nature.

One fault is do you answer as you have to act in your employment, or how you deal with friends and family.

Construction isn't 'touchy feely'.

ISTP for work. (polled)
INFJ for my dream world.(not polled)

I matched ISFP and ISTP with an equal high score (273), but they gave me ISFP so that's what I polled.
