I was watching GMTV this morning. More climare change propoganda from the government.

Anyhow they are having a vote on line asking people if we can stop climate change.....curently running about 50% yes and 50% no.

Here it is if you want to cast your vote.

Since this is a major feature on GMTV if enough people say "NO" they may realise that people are sick of all the cobblers. I noticed more and more people are starting to take a pop at Live Earth in the media.

I am getting sick of it all.

This goes to show just how gullible/ignorant/arrogant people really are.

Do people really think we can prevent:
- the sea level from rising further, even though it has already risen 120m in the last 10000 years
- the warm periods and ice ages which have occurred in the past
- Variations of solar irradiance/activity from affecting the climate

The people who vote yes are the real climate change deniers.



For people want to minimise their impact of AGW:
the only way to accomplish this is to not to have children - end of!

This is where the spin comes in.

I believe most people think that climate change is happening. I also believe most people think it is not our fault.

But it suits the eco-muppets to say that as most people believe in climate change they MUST also by association think that mankind is responsible.

To think we can "save the planet" by cutting C02 is the most ridiculous concept ever to hit mainstream politics.

I agree. However, I do think we should be less wasteful as a society. It's the heavyhanded politics and laws that go with it that I dislike.

Frinstance. Read this article and note which countries have the best recycling per capita and compare that with the government's [sarcasm]brilliant[/sarcasm] fortnightly collection scheme.

So how do you quantify a "wasteful society"?

You buy products that use a lot of plastic and metal packaging but use the recycle bins (hence a high percentage recycling statisitc)

Or

You buy products which have little or no packaging generating a higher proportion of non-recyclable material but a much lower amount of wast overall.

BTW I do the latter
