is there an echo in here? :D

Anyway:

A guy goes into his local garage and asks "Do you have a windscreen wiper for my Skoda???"
"Sounds like a fair swap" replied the man in the garage.

Nothing to do with cars but one of my favourites...

A boy goes into a pet shop and says to the shopkeeper, "I'd like to buy a wasp please".

The shopkeeper says, "we don't sell wasps"

The boy says, "well you've got one in the window".

Que: What do you call a fly without wings?

Ans: A walk

Sorry everyone, I only get sex once a year.

"well why do you sound so happy Tone?"

Because - tonight's the night! :D

possibly a thread diversion ...

it's now common for Japanese cars to be described as the pinnacle for quality over, say, German cars. What's the view on Korean cars? I ask, because we now have a Korean fleet at home - a 2.9 diesel Kia Sedona and a 2.7 V6 Hyundai Coupe. I steered clear of Korean cars for some years, but when my wife chose the Sedona, I have to admit to being pretty impressed with the quality of the thing. It's obvious that it's been built to a budget (lower grade plastics), but it feels solid and has been nothing but reliable (compared to my German saloon, that had started refusing to turn the engine over after less than 6 months, and took 18 months to diagnose).

I once drove a Kia Pride. Complete misnomer. It's a biscuit tin on wheels. I saw the aftermath of one which collided with a pigeon - they had to right the Kia off. It reminded me of the old Skoda jokes, of which we all know at least three)

I know it's not a specific model but my numpty vote goes to anything that says 'Taxi'.

big difference between an economy car and a sports coupe & large SUV class car though. the former is built to price above all else, the latter cars are probably built to tempt prospective buyers of more prestigious marques.

my mates mrs drives a korean mini-SUV thing, I forget what, but they're very happy with it, bearing in mind his other cars a bimmer z8 they can't be too bad...

I don't think that there is actually a real 'numpty car'. There are some seriously horrible cars (the SsssssangYyyyyyong Bloody Odious was designed by the blind, for the blind), but it does not mean that the driver is a numpty - just a bit misguided, or a member of a religion that does not allow contraception.
I subscribe to the age-old joke that the most dangerous part of any car is the nut behind the steering-wheel.
I have seen exceptional drivers in Daewoo Matiz's (sorry, Chevrolet, but how they get the 357 V8 in them beats me!) and complete idiots in Bentley GT's.
There seems to be a socio-economic relationship here that gravitates 'new-money dog-brains' into BMW's and dithering old people into mobile 'white goods' from the Far-East.
In the same vein as the old epithet that leads us not to judge a book by its cover, we should not judge a car by its driver - and all of you so-and-so's that had a pop at Rovers need to drive one; my 220 Tomcat is one of the best cars I have ever owned on many levels and I have never owned an 'ordinary' car in my life...

:rotfl: I'd forgotten about that one.

Well, I think Kia do make good, cheap and reliable cars but the Pride is sooo basic I felt like it wouldn't hold together for the duration of my journey. The door felt like it wouldn't stand the impact of an errant moth and it was very niosy at motorways speeds. I understand that's their base model but you really wouldn't come off well in an accident. The larger models do look good, although I haven't tried one yet.

The bottom line is you don't get owt for nowt H, or as they say in America, "better, faster, cheaper - pick any two?".

that's very good - I'll need to remember that one.

In project terms is would be "on time, on budget, or meeting requirements", usually project managers spend their time justifying why it costs more than planned, is late, and doesn't work!!

I thought it was "Fast, cheap, reliable, pick any two. If it has a rotary engine then pick only one."
