Most of my driving is done one-up, but the other day I did a long journey with three adult passengers.

And, thinking about it, I was probably deliberately aiming to be a bit more smooth in my driving and perhaps at times a little slower too.

Does anyone else find they adopt a slightly different driving style when carrying passengers?

That is exactly what i do. I concerntrate more on smoother gear changes and braking. Don't know why but I always have.

Only once, when the MD hitched a lift in my van to go pick up his BMW! But that was back in my white-van-man days and I had my job to consider.

These days about 50% of my driving is done with my wife in the car and we work as a team. Having that extra pair of eyes with a slightly different view of the road often means we can make faster progress than I would on my own.

Oh yes, smoothly does it. Nobody likes to ride in car car driven by a prat do they? That's why the Civic is always full up (usually with chicks :D ) when on running club taxi duties. It is very funny though to dab the brakes when the Jack Russell used to put his paws on the dash. He's too old to stretch that far now.
