Looks like it is could be fun, tomorrow!

The Met Office map shows everywhere except Western Wales and Western Cornwall covered in snow.

And guess whose boss decided Thursday would be a really great idea to start back to work? Mind you. He'll still be on holiday. Oh, dear. Right in the heart of the snow...

Yeah but if its the wrong kind of snowflake ( singular) the entire transport network will grind to a halt

Hmmm and I came to work on my motorbike today - if we do get any snow, I hope it doesn't settle! I'd have to leave my bike at work and get public transport home - :yuck:

Is it me or is the Met office just a little to keen to release severe weather warnings?

I think there has been a bit of a tendency for the MET office to "Cry Wolf" ever since 1987!

Yes, I thought that this morning, too!

Some areas have the snow -Scotland and the East- but it seems to be not as bad as predicted, nationally. Yet. ;)

I don't think a severe weather warning is appropriate for just snow. But it looks like it might be likely to snow? Not that it ever does here.
Although I'm a bit in-land now, so it might... :)

Maybe they’re hoping we will all stay at home so we don’t use are horrible cars. Maybe they are frightened that there’s going to be a sudden increase in KSI’s, which will in turn ruin their road safety figures, or will it be used as an excuse for more speed cameras and lower speed limits.

It’s also in the papers that there’s a bug going round the country and advising that we all stay at home. They then go on to say how much it is costing the economy. How much would it cost the economy if we all stopped using our cars?

Here, on the "Cumbrian riviera" it's just starting to snow now but the sky has big blue patches in it and I can't see any of it sticking!

Bad in Scotland, however. A colleague spoke to someone there who said it was really quite bad.

Just checked on BBC Scotland. Does look bad.

One flake in Shropshire. That I saw, that is! :) Might be more later as the clouds have gathered.

As soon as it starts snowing and looks like settling and I've taken the bike to work I notify my manager that I may have to leave early. I also very rarely take my wallet to work so they know that I can't use public transport
