Caught a snatch of a news item today about this - something to do with a motorway service station being planned near Solihull - any more info ???

There have been plans to build an MSA at M42 J4 for ages. I'm not really sure why, it's not that far from other service areas -- but the news item is probably related to the fact that the Public Inquiry into the new plans starts this week.

Don't see how it would have any effect on the VSL though.

Think that congestion would be increased to the point that the VSL would not be needed ,but that was impression rather than what I heard - hoped someone might have heard the rest -seemed to be interesting development

At Rownhams MSA on the M27 they are planning 4 narrow lanes and VSL.
Mind you it is a stupid scheme.

Where can we object?
I have never been on that road and thought "oh, what we need here is a random speed limit".
