Weepej, you still haven't come up with a single motorist-restricting measure that you oppose outright. Therefore, I can only conclude that you either don't oppose any, or you don't think there are any (i.e. you never come across anything when you're enjoying driving that makes you think "They've done that primarily to frustrate/tax/punish/control motorists"). I find either option very strange for someone that enjoys driving and isn't anti- anyone else driving. I can't not find it strange just because you'd rather I saw it as completely normal.
Put it this way: you seem to be in favour of more or less every single measure that the ABD campaigns against (something tells me that you don't think much of the ABD...if I'm right, then fancy that). You seem to be in favour of more or less every single measure that a motorist-hater would be in favour of. Yet you claim that it's "ridiculous" for anyone to even see a contradiction between your stated opinions and your claims that you enjoy driving and aren't anti-motorist.
In terms of your opinions, how exactly would you say that you were different to a motorist-hater? If what I say is so "ridiculous" then presumably that won't be a difficult question for you to answer. Otherwise, if it looks like a duck....
I reserve the right to say that I find your position contradictory, and presumably any supporter of the ABD would agree. I'm not saying you're lying about not being anti-motorist, although I don't necessarily believe it either. Online, we only have people's posts to go by. Wherever you have expressed an opinion about what I (and many others) consider to be a motorist-restricting measure, it has been favourable (except for speed humps, which you want to see replaced with cameras). So it's hardly surprising that I've wondered about you being anti-motorist.
I do wish that you'd at least say "I can see why you might think that" if nothing else. You might think I'm only saying it because I've "got it in for you" or something, but PeterE says it as well...why would he bother unless he really thought it? Do you often see him making unfounded remarks about people? I very much doubt that we're the only two either. Please at least try to see why we're struggling to reconcile your apparent opinions with your statements about enjoying driving and not being anti-motorist. Because we're not just doing it to get at you, I promise.

"The freedom provided by the motor vehicle is not universally applauded, however: there are those who resent the loss of state control over individual choice that the car represents. Such people rarely admit their prejudices openly; instead, they make false or exaggerated claims about the adverse effects of road transport in order to justify calls for higher taxation or restrictions on mobility."
