From the Manchester Evening News by John Scheerhout.. a couple of days ago.. Cannot find a linky.. not using the right search word..

I did try to the lurid headline of

Quote:

Is my son's life worth only 3 years

But found everything other than the story in question. Again the call for revenge. Hanging would be too good for the person who did this all the same.. and that is my opinion here... a person who usually wants justice and not revenge. No .. I want him to sweat.. in prison.. Thinking about what he did..and be made to understand by education during this sentence.. that driving requires responsibilities as well as skills.

Will this happen.. er no. I ask for the full shiny moon here.

But .. we have read it .. over and over again. different people.. same tragedy.

A young male model aged just 19 years crossed the road to meet his mum. He was hit.

By a car.. allegedly at 70 mph.

Only in this case.. there were umpteen witnesses.. all drivers who testified that the 28 year old behind the wheel of the car was racing against another car.. and causing a lot of worry to all sharing the road at that time.

We also read that this driver was not insured to drive that car.. was not even qualified as a driver.. but did have a provsional driving licence.. :banghead:

But then in this same article we read that this same person had caused an accident before.. been BANNED FROM EVEN POSSESSING A PROVISIONAL LICENCE FOR FIVE YEARS :furious: and perverting the course of justice in the previous crash.

Oh .. naturally ..some one else "cutting in front of him .. into a bus lane.. at speed" was to blame. :furious:

About as plausible as his non-existent insurance policy and equallly elusive driving licence :furious:

No.. this lad needs to be educated .. and by educating.. we not only teach.. but he also has a conscience pricking for life too.

My condolences to the victim's family. Revenge is no solace. Justice means that other boy is educated and is made to understand and keep in gulity conscience that he ended another young man's life.. At the moment .. he appears to refuse to accept his guilt because he blames someone else  Defence mechanism perhaps.. :scratchchin:
