Could someone tell me why I have lost the ability to delete a post which we had in the previous version of php?

You can still delete your own posts provided nobody has replied to them, which is exactly the same as it was before. There should be a litte "x" icon at the bottom right of your post.

OK, so if someone has replied I can only delet the words in the post. I was certain that you could delet the whole post even when someone had replied. I forget who it was but, didn't one of our members once delet all his posts ? :)

That certain someone spent a few hours editing the text out of hundreds of his posts; as Peter rightly pointed out, he couldn't delete them.
