Spotted a calibration cert for a gatso on another site and this posed a question.

Since these have to have a calibration certificate,:-

1) how long are the certs valid for
2) under what circumstances would recalibration be called for
3) who is entitled to a copy of cert ( ie driver of flashed car)
4)are calibration/ items used to calibrate traceable
5) is calibration tested during the life of the cert

would be interesting to know , given that accuracy is suppossed to be involved

I imagine they won't be keen on showing certificates unless a driver is fighting it in court. Don't know about recalibration, but I'd have thought more regularly than the annual certificate.
