LOL, I was watching Casablanca the other day and the scence where Louis closes the café because the patrons demonstrated against the Nazis reminded me of the whole CSCP forum closure!

Then today I had a look at the page, and they even have almost the same line written on the log in page!

Maybe there are a few parralels with other films, or film titles?

How about "Gone With the Wind" for starters?

Or with reference to Kevin's comments about Steve in a dress,
"Sex, Lies, and Video Tape"

.

No guessing who's who - "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly" - we've never seen Steve in a dress!

Has anyone noticed that the CSCP Staff Members avatar looks like the head on view of the Titanic, once it had capsized!
Like so..... .Image
Maybe it's prophetic :o

Was'nt the original film called "..And the Band Played On" prior to the recent epic Titanic?
I should point out that the makers NEVER claimed it was unsinkable!
However it is rumoured the captain pressed on at high speed regardless of warnings that they were headed for trouble, on orders from the owners!

It's uncanny, isnt it! Even down to the advert, which in a parody, featured a male passenger donning a dress, in order to effect a position in a lifeboat!

The previous Titanic film was "A Night to Remember", and story-wise it was the most accurate (except the sinking, it depicts the ship sinking intact whereas it broke in two on the surface). The ship also sunk upright, so the camera sign isn't that similar...

Perhaps the Bismarck may be more apt - warring battleship which sank allied ships came to sticky end....likewise warring scammers who sink driving licences

Think she did capsize in the end due to a number of direct torpedo hits in the port side...

But Steve in a dress? Given what can happen to Gatsos these days .. perhaps "some like it hot!" (And did he not used to be in the navy or something? )

Or since he chucks his toys out of the pram and appears prone to bouts of pout - perhaps james Cagney's tantrum throwing mummy's boy in "White Heat?" (He met with a nasty end as well as I recall - quite apt considering Captain Gatso's remedy  )

You are right - I was thinking of the 1930's film, but the film I named also seems apt: "...And the Band Plays On"
Plot Outline: The story of the discovery of the AIDS epidemic and the political infighting of the scientific community hampering the early fight with it.
I believe Titanic listed to the extent the collapsable life boats had to be hauled to the other side to be launched, before it settled evenly.
Steve's experience in Submarines, and JJ's time on HMS Tiger should serve them well! They should have spent time at HMS Pheonix!

How about "The Sting"

Or "Pinocchio" (my wife's suggestion!)

Think the orginal for Casablanca is still the best suggestion1

Shame, they've changed the message on the log in page now to something more long winded.

How about Shakespear's "Much Ado about Nothing"?

which if acceptable must lead to "The Merchant of Venice" in which the man must have his pound of flesh!

I did'nt mention Steve - but you are obviously on the same wavelength

I thought of a song which sums up "Safety Cameras".
Danny Kaye, singing "The Kings New Clothes" - I think it was from the film Hans Christian Anderson, but I stand to be corrected (probably by Gareth!) :D
