My views do not represent Safespeed but those of a driver who has driven for 39 yrs, in all conditions, at all times of the day & night on every type of road and covered well over a million miles, so knows a bit about what makes for safety on the road,what is really dangerous and needs to be observed when driving and quite frankly, the speedo is way down on my list of things to observe to negotiate Britain's roads safely, but I don't expect some fool who sits behind a desk all day to appreciate that.

I can pm it to you Pete, if you like, but TBH when you've got it there is absolutely no doubt that you have got it. I just got home from work, looked at it while The Weakest Link was on in the background, and thought to myself you just need to feed the supply rail at the other end as well and shove the bulb at the opposite end to the other one. What I've spent ‘however long’ doing I just got in a flash - honestly. (Well, with a little help from my friends here )

I take some comfort that others here took their time as well but I agree with dcb that you did well to get it so quickly Pete. You obviously have a very analytical mind You're the kind of guy I'd like to have with me on an airoplane if the pilot announced "An engine's on fire and the console has frozen".
