What further research do you want to see beyond the extensive set listed by jomo http://www.safespeed.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=24750&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=200

Suggest you look at the main thread for some existing suggestions.

I have followed the main thread very closely and haven't seen any serious suggestions about meaningful research protocols. But my old eyes don't' match up to your RAF Mk1 peepers so perhaps you would be kind enough to direct me.

Well something along the lines of Zippo's recent post (but in the UK) would be nice.

Depending on the results, we might find that we've been "barking up the wrong tree" so far and that it's actually the call content rather than the physical act of holding the phone that's the problem.

I think I've also suggested looking into the amount of our available capacity that we use when driving, and how we apportion that between the driving task and the call as circumstances (in either) change - perhaps suddenly.

Has any analysis ever been done between accidents involving HH mobile users, hands-free mobile users, and 2-way radio users?

So we make it illegal to talk about money while driving....or maybe sex.....and what difference does it make ?
If you do not use a device at all while driving it solves all the problems.

56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing

At least that would be more logical than the current situation whereby you can hold SOME things whilst driving and talk into them, but not others...

It seems one or two people need to be reminded this site is concerned with the use of speed cameras.

Nothing of the sort was said or implied; your inference is wrong.
