I agree with you - there is no point in cyclists complaining about motorists if they don't display the actions themselves that they would like from the motorists, e.g. stopping at red lights, giving way to pedestrians, signalling their intentions clearly, being clearly visible, using lights in poor visibility conditions. I will however draw the line at waiting in a long traffic queue unless some kind motorist is pulled up against the kerb "for my protection" - but we've had all the pros and cons of this before.
