Well, Top Gear enriches those boring Sunday evenings, when you are just thinking of returning to the daily grind on Monday

Wicked program with a great sense of humour. The wife even likes it!

That'll be why we have Eastenders then. I often wondered.

Nah, the new series of American Chopper on Discovery does that for me..

If I could opt out of paying for the BBC on the basis I promise not to watch it or listen to their crap radio I would do it gladly.

Do you mean that radio 1 is crap, or all BBC radio is crap? Radio 1 is certainly very crappy indeedy, but Radio 4 is quite good - I like PM at 17:00 with Eddie Mair and Carolyn Quinn.

Aahh, you watch this too? I love it and those machines they build, 'kin great belt drives and razor sharp sticky out things bolted on all over, would they be legal in the UK I wonder?
And what about Mikey? You've ridden in the States Gizmo, how come he can take one of those choppers out on the road (he test rode his own Blues Bike) and yet can't ride one of the scooters that Vinny and Paul Jnr bought because he hasn't passed his bike test- Mikey had to make do with a 50cc machine? Or did he ride the chopper illegally?

As far as i can tell he rode the blues bike illegally. They are easy to ride in a straight line..

If you remember on a previous episode they were in Daytona. They got busted for no number plates, illegal handle bar height etc, etc. I don't think any of the theme bikes are road registered. Also NY has mandatory helmet law but the helmets they are seen wearing are not DOT approved.

Bikers can be such bad boys ang girls.... 8-)

I did Sturgis South Dakota last year (and in 03) on a renatl bike. it would be easier to list which laws WERE observed. It was the most un-plugged week you could possibly imagine. The population of South Dakota doubled for one week in August.. :D

Here are some of the offences and penalties..

Carrying Loaded or Uncased Gun $75.00
Cyclists Overtaking in Same Lane $75.00
Eye Protection Required $20.00
Helmet Required (under age 18) $50.00
Illegal Handlebar Height $20.00
Operation W/O Motorcycle Endorsement $75.00
Reckless Driving Custody Arrest
Indecent Exposure $90.00

Basingwerk, sometimes I think I am a miserable git that takes life far too seriously, then I read a post of yours and feel much better.

What do you do for fun? What vises do you have? Surley you've had a sly look down the teenage waiteress's top when out for a meal with Mrs Basingwerk. Don't you ever get the urge to give the Basingwerk mobile a good thrashing on a quite road once in a while? Ever crank the CD player up and sing at the top of your lungs, come on we all do it? Surely even you must find flatulence funny.

Chill out man

Yep - love the cars on top gear - wish i could win lottery and get what i'd like - trouble is that a certain BIB sitting at J37 Southbound would have to meet me and say "naughty boy" as i came south. Woud be nice to have plates registered to a n other in Switserland. Or perhaps a donatin to tones fund of about £250 k might get my speeding tickets lost

Saw it on cable the last time I was in the US. They had to do two designs for a milled cover depending whether he won again or not...it is awsome.

That's all part of the service.

Alcohol, cigarettes, various white and brown powders, hash and grass, acid, mushrooms. You name it, basically.

I just showed my wife this press release (after checking the date on it wasn't April 1 and then picking myself up off the floor :rotfl: )

She was incensed by the prejudice shown by the author towards women drivers. Clearly, said author has a stereotypical view of what "the interests of most women drivers" are. From a group that considers itself ultra-politically correct this is a major faux-pas and something the Top Gear people should be exploiting to the hilt.

T2000 is one of the most prejudiced, discriminatory organisations going if they can make horrendous generalisations like this!!

Don't tell your fibs - you are a man, and part of the qualifications for this role is the ability for grabbing a sneaky look at a female.

Even better is the ability to do it without getting caught by the wife and thus getting a smack around the back of the head!

I found this organisational chart on the web..http://www.transport2000-office.org.uk/organchart.htm

Can’t find any pictures, perhaps they are all on witness protection.

Maybe some of our women folk should contact T2000 correcting them on their "assumptions"

LOL, great minds think alike :D :D :D :D

Just make sure you are very careful if watching a hottie run along the beach. If you are visibly tracking the primary bouncing target, you will get slapped

Toned down version of the t2000 ramblings reached the BBC. Maybe they thought the reference to women was just too daft even for them.
