How on earth do you know what sort of person JJ is? Ad hominem is really sad :(

Rigpig - HIS words tell ALL - read some of his other sagas.

I drive by "if in doubt - dont" - from what i see, you've been around enough to treat a scamerati as " if in doubt, he's not telling lies, just being what in yorkshire is known as being "economical with the truth"
Kenny Everite had a name for people like JJ - C***D ST**T
Unless i misjudge you , YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.

Stop right there Botach. First off, please stop shouting at me with those darned capitals.
Secondly, I've been around long enough to know that there is no point shouting and swearing at the telephone operator at your insurance company because the assessor won't pay out on your claim. And I've also been around long enough to know that, whilst officialdom in this country might sometimes be misguided or wrongly directed, it is seldom enacted on the basis of deliberate lies.
I am as dismayed as you are with the proliferation of speed cameras and the obvious negligble effect they have on road safety, but I'm also intelligent enough to direct my negativity into addressing the issue rather than making cheap remarks about the personnel involved.
Thank you.

Rigpig - I wasn't getting into that sort of scenario - i have read some of your stuff and had ( i thought) an ideas of your ideas .

first - on several other posts and forums JJ has tried to be what I class as
kennys idea of C***D ST**T. He has been shot down by other members.
He tries to suggest that we have no way of stopping his sort of infiltration, and gets rather upset when i suggest that we all as a group can halt his quango by applying electorial influence. That is what i'm suggesting we all do , rather than doing what JJ would like- fighting amongst ourselfs - oh yes suits JJ and comrades .

JJ- would dearly like to see you and i fighting about trivials, whilst he does other things- don't let him get away with it - thats his stock in trade and if you fall for it he's won. I'm not fighting with you - i agree with you , our enemy is JJ and his filthy kind - so find your mp and ask what he/she is doing to stop JJ and his filthy little empire - i will, i can assure you. Need any help - ask - i will get e mail address of mp's - expect SS will as well

Lets make roads safer, not make war

I note that the traps will be set to "as low as 79 mph", which just happens to be ACPO guidelines (limit + 10% + 2 mph). Drivers should count themselves lucky that they don't use Cleveland Constabulary guidelines for their camera vans where (limit + 1 mph) can get you the 3 points and the £60 fine! :(

This simply isn't true, no type approved device is accurate to within 1mph at any speed.

And just to demostrate how pointless (and probably dangerous) this whole exercise is: the M4 is currently closed at Bath due to an accident. It'd be funny if it wasn't so tragic.

Probably caused by the drivers all concentrating on their speedos rather than the road, and the bunching phenomenon

15:00, still closed according to Trafficmaster & Highways Agency

Now, who mentioned HGVs in this or the other thread?

Motorway shut after diesel spill

The M4 is currently closed westbound between junctions 18 for Tormarton and 19 for the M32 following a collision involving a lorry and one vehicle.
The accident happened at around midday on Thursday and fire and ambulance services are at the scene with police. The drivers' injuries are not considered life-threatening. Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
Police say the route would be closed for several hours while a diesel spillage was cleaned up.

I did make a small mention about them seemingly being involved in a large proportion of RTC's

Garmin's specifications quote 0.1mph accuracy but due to potential signal degradation perhaps just 0.5mph accuracy is attainable in typical car applications.

What does its type-approval say though? I'm fairly sure the LTi20/20 claims one level of accuracy, but its type-approval is another altogether.

Don't know what's being used ( to check speed) , but for those using the M6, between J4 AND 5 going north - the patrol carpark -(just before j5 ) seems to be very well used these days with all manner of trafficy cars, not the ones with black and blue stickers , but ones with blue lights and other nasties. They seem to be pulling. So is the M6 now in for this sort of treatment ??
