Thanks for the welcome peeps :D

So are you saying JJ will read this thread again, but not reply to any of the points raised? Surely not, perhaps they only have time to visit every other day and then reply? That must be it.

"The camera has been decommissioned for the duration of roadworks..."
Hopefully that will save some casualties

I doubt it. Decommisioned doesn't necessarily mean they've taken the thing away, and an empty Gatso box can be expected to have exactly the same negative effects as it would if it really did have a camera inside it. Besides, the article says they've put in two temporary cameras for the road works. One step forward, two steps back.

Eh, how can increased traffic be used as a plausible excuse?

Talking in their terms, there were accidents on the road caused by excessive speed. They therefore then installed the draconian method of putting a fixed camera there to target EVERYONE to make EVERYONE slow down. The volume of traffic should be completely irrelevant then shouldn’t it as they are all going slower and are therefore less dangerous?

Bump

Another poor soul killed today on the M11. Condolences to his familyand friends. RIP.

Other driver arrested. Not speed related. Driving environment related?

In Leicester the SCPs don't bother using deaths in their statisitcs any more because the figures look so bad. They use KSI instead which looks better for them. Their distortion of the facts just keeps on getting more synister.
