All depends on the bike & the rider Botach.
If it was a piece of crap (circa £500) mini moto with an untrained kid at the controls, then the police should have no problem in catching it.
If it's a proper mini bike (eg XSport) with a kid that knows what he is doing at the helm, then I suspect that the police officer won't even bother to report it back at the station for fear of ridicule at not "getting his man" (or child in this case).
