Just popped out for a ride on my wonderful Honda VFR, taking in the A339 Basingstoke to Alton road.

Now please consider these two road users

User 1 (Me): riding a motorbike capable of 140+ mph at speeds upto 90 mph (NSL) where no other vehicles are about and obviously adjusting speed where necessary for hazards etc. Obeyed all signs (including all double white lines and the only moving traffic offence would have been speeding for which I would likely lose my licence (clean) and membership of the IAM.

User 2: Driver of a renault clio type thinkie, about 50 years old female. Driving at 35 mph (NSL) crossing double white lines at leats three times for no apparant reason whilst I was following, including "cutting" blind right hand bends.

She couldn't have been a danger, she wasn't speeding...regardless of the fact that she shouldn't have a licence in the first place...

Couple of weeks ago, I was on my way to work, about 0500hrs, country road, and a twisty windy section 60mph limit, following a cop car, and I couldn't beieve the lines he/she was taking on the bends, completely across to the other side of the road to cut the apex, and this at 40mph, on a road section I have, in the past, taken at 60mph without cutting the white lines at all.
Definately not a Trafpol BTW.
