Did anyone see TopGear tonight, does Jeremy rock, or what.
Nice dig at Brunstrom, and showed a test of the effectiveness of speed camera's.
Test one. Young twocker, drunk and drugged, incapable of driving faster than 25mph, went past a scamera, not caught.
Test two. Bloke dressed as Osama Bin Laden, the worlds most wanted terrorist, knew the scamera was there so drove nice and slow, not caught.
Test three. Little old lady on way to summer fete with home made cakes on the back seat, drifted over the 30 limit by 4mph, got caught, obviously a real hardened criminal.

The point was, scamera's can only do one thing, and nothing else.

I think JC must have been browsing this site, he came up with some familiar figures and decried the lack of police on our roads.

Brunstrom doesn't like him, so must be a good guy to have on the side of the motorist.

Can't stand Clarkson, but only 'cos I wish I had his job :D. And he's much older than me and has more hair. Git.
Still, I think Brunstom should be thanking Jezza. The way he said it made it sound like things have only just started to deteriorate in the last year or so. He mentioned that trafplod numbers are down by 11% in the last four years, but didn't say they'd roughly halved over the last ten(ish). Still a good demo of how useless Gatsos are for anything other than speeding though, and they made the point (which I'd forgotten about) that it was a routine traffic stop that led to the arrest of the Yorkshire Ripper.

The spokesman for the motoring world. Old Jezza.
Hates speed cameras, increase the motorway speed limit, hates caravaners and the government. Problem is he has caused the Ford GT to be an uncool car.
