I'm booked to be interviewed tomorrow via Inverness studio for broadcast in the local news programme at 1:30 and 6:30.

That's a turn-up, they are so far up Brakes arse you'd think they shared offices or something!

They will not provide you with makeup facilities, and studio lights are harsh - if its a broomcupboard studio and you're speaking 'down the line' - ie direct to the camera from a remote location, the lighting will be terrible and you will look awful.

Trust me mate, I'm in this business. We're not talking lipstick and eyeshadow, just something to pad on your skin to take the shine off your face.

If you're not into that idea, then take along a hanky or tissuepaper, and about 30 seconds before you go on air (you'll be in the lit studio for a while) dab your face and remove any sweat.

Sweat = worried, its a subconcious thing all viewers recognise.

It didn't make it to the 6:30 edition, at least not in the West Yorks area. I believe Look North is split into three or four sub regions so it could have been one of the others.

Got over five minutes of the perils of the school nativity play and the same ofn the perils of the office party (most of both will have been finished with by that time).
