The first article, whilst not containing any Safe Speed references - also beggars belief . http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/08/873.asp

Incidentally, the link in the header of this thread will dry up soon. Here is, I believe, a permanent one. http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/08/872.asp

Roger, you can change my original link and delete this if you want. I've noticed Paul is quoted in other articles in thenewspaper.com I'll add those as well if you want me to. Just trying to keep the threads clean. :)

A general point:

The Newspaper is a friendly web site that carries many of our PRs. I wouldn't bother to routinely list Safe Speed mentions on thenewspaper.com in this section. The same applies to Pistonheads.

No need for any of that. No problem.

It's just that if this section filled up with mentions on friendly web sites (and it would!) then we would weaken it.

of course, because it's perfectly safe to be stopping on a motorway.

I agree, but education here was required though, not a ticket - or am I getting soft in my old age?

Presumably waiting for people like her to come along, in order to meet his targets.

Stopping speeders? Would that qualify as an 'emergency'?
