Does anyone know if this model is any good and (please excuse my ignorance) can you update it? does it have a smart card?
I've looked at the choice of TomTom's and think this one would do.

Does it have up to date info on Kendals one way system?

I hear a lot of drivers are complaining that their Sat Nav is hopeless in Kendal!!
The manufacturers are quite correctly laying the blame at the planners door!

Definitely recommend it - plug it in and away you go.

My neighbour bought one a couple of weeks ago - he'd asked me for advice (as I use TomTom3 on my PDA). However I'd recently seen a review of several portable SatNav systems on The Gadget Show, and this was the one they recommended (as it was plug-and-go I thought it would be better for him).

It comes with a 128MB SD card so can be updated (not sure if map updates will be free though).

My neighbour's even happier now I've added the speed camera overlays from PocketGPSWorld and POIplace, along with the Customised POI warning sounds. :D
