It came from the bench legal adviser, and advised City Magistrates that following discussions with City of London Police all Tower Bridge cases were adjourned indefinitely due to the legal challenge. It said that
these cases would be heard once the result of the challenge was known, and that the challenge would be taking place in Crown Court sometime in the near future. Reason for the adjournments was, as mentioned
previously, to reduce the backlog of work in the event that the challenge is successful, and previous convictions are overturned.

Legal adviser also says he is not happy about the adjournments, as it appears to send out the message that we are not confident about the outcome of the challenge.
