.. just bolt a bucket to the fron to of your bike for your shopping.

Per the Manchester Evening.. a Danish invention  Very successful in Denmark.

Manchester's "greenier than thee spokesman" claims this is another reason to ditch the car.. cheap and it keeps you fit.

:scratchchin: .. well.. looking at this "bucket" - I think I might buy a trike as these are a lot more practical  8-) for "shopping and stability" 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

The photo was in black und white.

Those silly little cycle lanes could not cope with this bucket.. it look rather big und bulky on the left front wheel of this bike in the paper.

on the other hand - - it make bike "wider" und thus even the numptiest of the "Maureen" brigade might just see it!

But what ist wrong with the trailer...? Ist easy enough to fix one... und I think easier to control the bike than with a weight like this on front wheel..

Ist just my take on this story as I read it. What ist general view on riding with a big bucket attached to front wheel? I think it may may a left turn rather interesting und I could imagine going over with the weight. :yikes:

Seem not a good idea to me ...

This is a scan of the photo which appeared in the paper.

Erm...that is a trike isn't it? Looks pretty stable to me, though it's obviously not going to be breaking any speed records. What was the gist of the original article?

Talking of odd bikes, there's one I see regularly chained to a fence in Wednesbury. Whoever owns it has fitted a car steering wheel where the handlebars used to be. Why he needs to chain it up I can't imagine, I certainly wouldn't pinch it!
