Think I get link right.. paste button seem not to like me this morning!

It seem in London - bike use ist up by 50%. Article seem to think this ist because we all want to get fitter und see benefits.

I think has more to do with the hike in the Kengestion charges  Und public transport istbut a sick joke in many areas..

But no matter.. they say in the towns where the faacilities such as [i] decent cycle lanes und other facilties are provided - pedalo power ist on the rise .. in places like Stoke. Cambridge ist flat und since you are not allowed car as undergraduate anyway (Ted refused to go und chose St Andrews because of that alone :hehe: all those years ago.. ) - I would think majority of the cyclists there are students anyway.

But ist only 28% bike use there. From numbers I saw when eldest had interview there.. would have thought more.

Und in York 19% ride und in Crewe 12%.

EU spen £5 per capita on bike facilities .. UK just £1. Ist why our lanes are c:censored:.....

I note this quote

I cycled until I went to Uni in Durham .. but is twas hilly so I gave up und decided to walk.

Bloke ist now rekindling his bike skills after 7/7 .

Und others are like BCylcist... they don't like the gym und if they want to pedal - they want to go somewhere in fresh air in return for the energy used.

Nicht ganz im Lot!
Ich setze mich immer wieder in die Nesseln! Der Mad Doc ist mein Mann! Und ich benutzte seinen PC!

Nope.. never seen it .. not even when walking in Hyde Park .. which I actually like as a Park .. as I enjoy "Tuileries" in Paris. I've rowed a boat on the Serpentine and sailed toy boats on the Lake in the "Tuileries"

Nationwide .. seems we are 15% up on overall bike riding.. with bulk in London as result of combination of 7/7, over priced, overcrowded aging and plain uncom fart able public increased congestion charges, proposed ban on 8 year old+ cars (even though a well serviced and maintained car is usually less polluting than a badly maintained new car  )

Bulk of bad cyclists would appear to be in the Capital as do the bulk of equally lousy drivers
