But if your road is a shortcut, or just dangerous due to it being too fast, then speed bumps can double your property value.

Did on mine. I sold and moved on before some presure group removed them. ( They are still there today)

Maybe on your home planet but in the real world they have dropped property values. Thats why resedents are starting to get them removed.

You give me an example of a speed bump doubling a property value!

I would agree that in the real world speed bumps reduce property values. The higher and more frequent the bumps, the more the values drop.

A prosperous residential area near me recently headed off council proposals for humps (not that I blame them) and instead got a totally unenforceable 20 mph limit.
