I have already posted my case in this Forum under the title “speed camera at night!"

The thought of that flash in the night is driving me crazy and I need some advice. I haven’t been able to drive normally since then. I keep making mistakes and yesterday I spent 3 hours on the road, instead of the usual 30 minutes because I was not able to pay attention to the direction.

If the flash I saw the other night was from a police camera and if I receive the ticket I would like to fight back. I do not think it is right that I pay the fine and I forget about it. The police has never helped me when I really needed and now they even harass me directly.
The only problem is that if I get any criminal conviction I will loose my job.

Please, I need advice. My questions are:

1) What do I need to do when my wife will receive the ticket (I was driving her car)? What is the process?
2) What if I go to Court and I lose my case. What is the worst case scenario?

Thank you

1) Buy a hard hat and cover her rolling pin with foam.
2) Probably life or a police tail for the rest of yours.

Seriously though Mizar; calm down man. Nothing has happened except in your mind. If your worries prove correct THEN post your circumstances here and you will be given the best possible advice. In the meantime relax. :cloud9:

P.S. spending 3 hours on the road is increasing your chances of getting flashed again something rotten. Go home and talk to the missus. Feel free to use another verb instead of talk.

I have read your other post and it does not sound like any kind of speed camera we have ever heard of.

Well, before going under the bridge I saw a flash and now I have a doubt that that person was a policeman with a speedcamera. I guess he didn't aimed at the motorbike since he/she was looking at us from the front.

There is no hand held speed camera, which emits a flash, into the face of oncoming traffic. I suspect someone on the bridge was taking a photograph. Very unlikely it was a photograph of you.

Were you offered to buy the photo in a presentation case afterwards?

And was your car shaped like a log?

Then I suspect you were in fact at Alton Towers.

Glad I could help

It was a double flash, like those one from fixed speed cameras.
He/she was definitely pointing at me.
It was raining quite hard and a sensible photographer would have been worried for the camera.

I will wait and see. If I received the ticket I will repost my question.
However nobody really described to me what could happen if I challenge the ticket and I loose the Court case.
Tx

Anti-redeye preflash.

Anateur photographer trying to take a picture of car lights.

There is no speed camera which works in the way you describe. Stop worrying!

As for worst case, from cases I have followed you would probably get the same 3 points and anything from £80 to £200 fine. Threats of thousands of pounds in fines and costs rarely come to anything.
