Roadweb member sites (alphabetical order):

Safe Speed

The Safe Speed campaign has always been poorly funded. Now there's a crisis. You can help. Click the banner to the left.

Arrive Deprived

Excellent spoof "Safety Camera Partnership" web site, inspried by North Wales' "Arrive Alive" site. Well worth a visit.

Association of British Drivers

The ABD is Britain's leading lobby group for drivers. We campaign on all issues affecting drivers; bus lanes, congestion charging, driver training, environment, fuel tax, law enforcement, parking, road construction & maintenance, road safety, speed cameras, speed limits, tolls, traffic calming, and vehicle excise duty. If you drive in Britain and want to continue to do so, join us.

freedom-move.org

freedom-move.org promotes freedom of movement by car and does not endorse any political party or politician. The website offers interesting views and information about important modern freedoms which some take for granted. With those freedoms under threat it's well worth visiting this site to understand what we have, who wants to take it away and how.

It's YOUR Duty!

The most comprehensive collection of pro-motoring campaigning, motoring information and global warming debunking links on the web... Probably ;-)

M4 Protest

Arranged a large scale 'slow drive' protest against the recent M4 speed cameras.

One Third Lie

The authorities frequently claim the one third of road accidents are related to speeding. This site proves that the claim is meaningless propaganda and names and shames those making the claim. The site's mission is clear: They are not going to allow the authorities to get away with telling "the one third lie"!

Open Road

Open Road is a new alliance of individuals and groups, campaigning for the UK's road building program to be put back on track. For the last 10 years or so, the government has been afraid to embark on major road construction for fear of anti-roads protestors creating bad publicity.

PePiPoo

PePiPoo's mission is to reveal to the ordinary UK motorist, clearly and concisely, how the police and judiciary deal with allegations of speeding in real life, and to provide the information motorists need to defend themselves. The PePiPoo website includes a busy forum system.

PistonHeads

PistonHeads is the UK's leading online motoring magazine specialising in sportscars. As sports car enthusiasts we're concerned about motorists' rights being eroded at the expense of enjoyment and common sense. We promote safe, intelligent driving - but that doesn't mean that drivers shouldn't have fun any more.

Road Supervisors

The purpose of Road Supervisors is to examine how the internet, information technology and modern communications could be used to systematically raise driving standards and significantly reduce the amount of accidents, injuries and deaths on our roads.  Road Supervisors is an on-going, interactive project, open to anyone interested in helping to develop a 21st century solution to a 20th century problem.

SafeSpeed

SafeSpeed contains information explaining how present speed enforcement methods are doomed to fail to provide road casualty improvements. The site includes a unique claims area which form the basis of understanding how speed limits work and what their negative effects might be. SafeSpeed actively campaigns for truth in road safety and the intelligent application of speed limits. Ultimately it is proven, beyond reasonable doubt, that it is drivers' use of appropriate speeds that provides safety, and not blindly keeping to a speed limit. Drivers must use safe speeds.

Stand and Deliver!

An amusing and well deserved spoof based on the Tayside Speed Camera Partnership

Speed Cameras dot org

The site campaigns to abolish the cash for cameras schemes in the UK, the removal of speed cameras where accidents have not decreased, the relocation of cameras to accident black spots, and the refocusing of police resources to pursue the real menaces of the road: uninsured, dangerous, or drunk / drug drivers and unregistered, untaxed, or poorly maintained vehicles. The site features the latest speeding related news, public opinions, and facts and figures.

SpeedLIMIT

Promoting better, safer roads and sensible traffic law enforced with discretion.  A personal view of speed limits, cameras and other transport and road safety related topics, with particular reference to the North-West of England. Articles include views on various road safety proposals, always with a straightforward balanced and fair approach.

The Great North Road

This site deals with the history and present day topography of Britains main road.  It could be useful to anyone wishing to make a journey on the A1 more interesting. About 150 pages of information, and a great roads links section.

Transport 1650

Transport 1650 is a glorious parody of Transport 2000. Through the medium of comedy is shows exactly the techniques that some organisation use in their attempts to influence public opinion. Spin? Which way governor? And how fast? Amusingly the web address for Transport 1650 is www.transport2000.co.uk
