Is it one of yours, may I ask? No, this is not one of mine....................however, I have written many and several have been online. My original plan a few years back was to compile a booklet of such poems/stories and hopefully raise some monies for a road death connected charity. Alas not done...

[quote="Mole"]Touching. I'm tempted to make some sort of pedantic coment about it being difficult to "run" lights on motorways, but I guess a bit of "poetic licence" is only fair! :) I think the actaul road name has been changed. I believe the original one was a highway...

A drunk man in an fast car They said had run the light That caused the six-car pileup On the M6 that night. When broken bodies lay about "And blood was everywhere," The sirens screamed out eulogies," For death was in the air. "A mother, trapped inside her car," Was heard abo...

Guys; flogging a dead horse. Andy wants you to sign his petition, he does not want to hear why his logic is flawed, hence he will not. The strongest message will come from the fact that no one capable of rational thought will sign a petition merely due to a bitter individual's need to introduce 'ru...

Oh well!!!!!! This problem will never be solved with new "idiots" of the road passing their driving tests daily. Seems to me may be we'll have to wait until all cars are fitted with safety computers and radar etc so as to prevent "idiots" wrapping their cars around others cars a...

I'm afraid there are "boy racers" out there that are neither mad nor suicidal but just hungry for the feeling they get when they speed and push the limits of their driving on just such roads, but it's the innocent that pay with their lives in these situations. It's very sad.andymusic Plea...

Thank you for all your comments so far regarding this petition even if they all seem extremely negative, but everyone has to have their own opinions. All I'm asking for is a change in the highway code for these types of road not a total spend on road signs etc. This will help people be more aware o...

Hiya Belladonna :welcome: back. I am sorry I missed this post of yours. I have skimmed briefly through some of the replies. OK - first things first - she needs to get a decent lawyer as I think there are some angles here which he could use based on your post .. but I think your daughter should hear...

Has anyone else seen this? This isn't directly a Freeman on the Land issue but I think it will be of interest all the same... Lifted from http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/...e-illegal.html At least 80 cases are in the pipeline in which drivers will argue that evidence was gathered unlawfully gath...

No you are right - except it is more widespread than just Lancashire! Lack of money is the stated reason in Cumbria. I'm more inclined to believe the theory that they are cheaper to deploy than speed humps, and are not legally restricted to 100mm in height! Yes you are right. Having a motorh...

Is it just me, or are the condition of roads in North Lancashire getting worse? Over the last 6 months it seems that everywhere I travel there are pot holes ( and I mean serious pot holes), tarmac missimg, pushed to side of road and general state of disrepair. My son rides a motorcycle and on many o...

I wonder if the policeman thought she was holding a mobile, found she wasn't, but was not man enough to admit he had made a mistake? Hence the breath test. "I'll get you for something! All you members of the public are criminals" nonsense that a minority of them come out with. No it would...

I fully understand what you say in relation to the officer, and perhaps from what has been said he could have /should have maybe took a little bit more time to explain, but hes not here to defend himself . From my experience though when someone is upset visibly and emotionally sometimes trying to exp...
