From Sky News - A 56-year-old man has died after colliding with a cyclist while crossing a road.
Police are appealing for information about the collision on Wilmslow Road, close to Didsbury Library, in Manchester at around 4.35pm on Saturday 20 June.
It is believed the pedestrian was crossing the road when the incident happened.
He was left with serious head injuries and died in hospital a week later.

The cyclist is believed to have been at the scene when emergency services arrived, but police were not initially told about the incident and are now urging the cyclist to get in touch.
Police Sergeant Andrew Page, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "This is a tragic incident and our thoughts and sympathies are with the loved ones of the man at this desperately sad time.

"We recognise that the cyclist will be unaware of the sad developments since the collision occurred but we appeal to him directly to get in touch with us and help establish the circumstances so we can fully understand how this incident happened.

"Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who could have dash cam footage of the incident should also contact police as this would significantly aid our enquiries."

Anyone who tells you that nothing is impossible has never bathed in a saucer of water.

That is sad but he ought to have reported it to the Police too ... and given his details at the scene. A great frustration for his relatives. A nice appeal by the police and I hope he comes forward.
I assume the ambulance dash cam could help if they have one of course! I'm assuming that the Police will have local signs up so let's hope he sees it and comes forward.
Cyclists must obey all rules of the road.
More promotion of the Highway Code into cycling groups could be very beneficial. :D

It's getting to the stage of regulation and compulsory insurance for cyclists. I and other dog owners and mobility scooter users have complained bitterly about one local park being used a a velodrome, especially as one side has no cycling signs installed.

lets bring sanity back to speed limits.
Drivers are like donkeys -they respond best to a carrot, not a stick .Road safety experts are like Asses - best kept covered up ,or sat on
