This is the shocking moment a car hits a young girl in a Northern Ireland car park.

In the footage the vehicle is seen driving around the car park before coming to a stop because of a young boy on a scooter.

As he leaves the shot the car slowly takes off, only for another child to appear seemingly out or nowhere and hit the car.

Given the slow speed the girl was not seriously hurt and was able to continue on her scooter.

The footage has been viewed thousands of times since it was posted on the Facebook page 'Idiot Drivers Northern Ireland'.

Page administrator Ciaran Connolly said: "Some people thought we were criticising the driver, but that is absolutely not the case.

"We were sent this by the driver to highlight how everyone needs to be aware of the dangers of the road, even in a car park."The car was going slow, but had it been going any faster this could have been much worse."

Anyone who tells you that nothing is impossible has never bathed in a saucer of water.
