The van was on blues und twos und responding to report that a man was about to be attacked by six men.
The officer could not avoid the girl und the IPCC (Independent Police Complaints Commission ruled that no charges or offences were committed by the officer.
Jury returned verdict of accidental death.
GMP's control room had given this shout a Grade Two priority - which meant the officers had to be there within an hour.

The girl's mother ist campaigning for all police cars to have black boxes.
As Mama myself - I am campaigning for all children to receive better education as to dangers of drink, drugs, und Green Cross Code.... und I agree ist not easy to guide them - ist hard work being a Mama. Work ist never ending..
Naturally - I do sympathise with the girl's Mama who says she miss her beautiful daughter who was just starting to live her life to the full. (und yes -there ist a photo.. she was a pretty girl und ist very sad situation for all concerned.
Und again - why we say COAST for all drivers - as this determines normal safe speed which could avoid such tragedy in normal driving conditions

Although the officer was acting in accordance with his training, it was found that GMP's response policy und guidance did not correspond in all areas
