For years, scamera partnerships (and, indeed, central government) have been conveniently ignoring this phenomenon. If we now start seeing cameras switched off and a general downward trend in KSIs, it will put them in the difficult position of either having to admit that the anti-camera lobby was right, dreaming up some other cause for the reductions, OR saying that it's down to RTTM - an effect that they have, very publicly, dismissed on inumerable occasions.
Absolutely spot-on Mole!

RTTM aside, in our favour or not, you would think the way they have obsessively pushed the speed kills message over the years would have left all the gullible in no doubt that there
should have been absolute carnage on Swindon’s roads; not just a few more or few less.
Since this clearly has not happened you would think the gulible would start to feel they have quite simply been duped, but I’ve noticed there are two ways they tackle a truism they don’t like; they ignore it or deny it with an almost religious fervour. As always, you can take a horse to water…
Thanks Dixie, well spotted
