Extracted from an item on the ABD website:

A nine year old Swiss girl is being taken to court after it was alleged she caused a road traffic accident.
The driver of the vehicle involved said that the child ran out from behind a bus and he could not avoid hitting her. The girl, who was crossing the road with her mum, was slightly injured.
The prosecutor at Scaffhausen Courthouse said this was a normal procedure, to teach the child that they had done something wrong.
