Anology of the road situation on the rails.

In light of the recent events it has been proposed by the transport authority to allow local councils to team up with regional rail operators, and other vested interests, to pursue the installation of speed cameras at level crossings to target trains that might be going slightly askew of the imposed limit in the hope that trains hitting a stationary object on a crossing at the rail speed limit will reduce the number of casualties. No specific studies or data has been singled out to confirm the proposal will work but it is biased enough by anti-speed freaks and politically correct local authorities to allow the proposal to continue despite a common sense approach being considered it was not (fiscally) workable.

All monies will be re-invested back into the transport system for fair and impartial use (more cameras and talking shops and the obligatory whack for the treasury).

All comment welcome as long as it is in-line (no pun intended) with the current thinking of the regime....sorry quango.....sorry pratnership. Any opposing statements will be taken as anti-safety and of a murderous intention and will be deleted before anyone has a chance to read it i.e. Gestapo like moderator!

And the speed limit for trains will now be 30 or 20mph everywhere.
