This doesn’t prove anything, “15 were listed as "other"” other does not mean non emergency, you assume this, but it says nothing of the sort.

Other is often what you class as an urgent assistance call from an officer, i.e. they press there red button and scream out for assistance, all officers in the vicinity whack on the blues and drive to there colleagues aid.

Again it’s policy and it IS an emergency.

Please post a link where it shows Police officers are killing people by driving to non emergency calls.


Further to that “other” doesn’t necessarily mean they were driving at high speed, it simply means that there was an incident that involved a police vehicle and a death.

Again you forget about when people flag down police cars and state that there is a fight on the other street, that’s NOT a 999 call (they flagged down the car, not called 999) it’s still an emergency call.

No mention of being at high speed, or because they were driving like lunatics.

There are over 100,000 trained police drivers and very few deaths considering they respond to hundreds of calls every day.

I don’t think anyone here would argue that Police vehicles should slow down when attending emergency calls.

Examples my learned friend of stunt driving..which largely goes un announced , un punished..

Common law powers of arrest are for every citizen, regardless of there job, a PCSO has this power, it cannot be taken away from them, not even by there Chief Constable.
Murder?? Where do you get this stuff, “my understanding” have you ever been a PCSO, or a Chief Constable, secretary of State, home office minister??

Andy, as I have said a thousand times before, you want to complain to the government, they make and amend the Legislation in place, we (the Police Force employees) uphold the laws that are in place, be it armed robbery, murder, rape and yes speeding.

You have a grievance with the government, not Police Officers.

Andy, it appears to be getting a bit heated.

The last thing I want is to get anyone booted of the forum.

Lets look at it subjectively for a second.

Imagine you were a Police Officer or a Special or a PCSO, then imagine you receive complaints on a regular basis regarding people parking in certain places and the people telling you all this have had enough! They want something done about it and they attend every community meeting and let you know how they feel.

Although you’re not a traffic warden, imagine now you are walking past what appears to be an illegally parked vehicle, in the area all the locals were complaining about.
Although you have better things to do and you don’t particularly like giving parking tickets, what do you do?

Ignore all the people who complain and allow the vehicles to park there?
Only uphold certain Laws you agree with?

We are simply Servants of the Crown.

Citizens Arrests were never recommended by the Police in the past, that was their job, as getting it wrong in any way opened the arrester to liability.
It is a defence for the offence of resisting arrest, if the arrest was unlawful.

Having taken a back seat and observed, I have to say that HonestAndy has definatley got issues. He has contradicted himself and rants like a naughty child.

I don't believe a word he says about this FPN his wife got.

Being reasonably local to the road he says she was stopped on I am aware of various problems on that road and the speed enforcement of it.

And I have to say it is common local knowledge of the enforcement of that road.

As far as his so called employment and good character I'd be very dubious, he claims to be a prison officer on maximum security looking after terrorist prisoners.
All terror prisoners are housed in Belmarsh in London (not Merseyside)

I personally believe that Andy is simply a troll, a reasonably clever on in his methdology,but a troll, he has striied up this forum and one on national PCSO's.

for your information as you PCSOs jump in feet first this is for your benefit....details of stop etc....PCs number, and my complaint letter is addressed to Canning Place Complaints department.

Next High security ...I am not noting my place of work here would you ???, terrorists are not all held at Belmarsh, and I didnt say that. I work with high risk offenders some of the most high profile. Do you ever watch the news..Clue for you there...

I am of honest character ..do you know otherwise ????, and if you know the exact location...Prescot Road Junc of Enfield Street, you will as we are aware they ARE ALWAYS there..we are well aware that the laser is there I have had to warn other cars to slow down at this location to avoid prosecution.

You will note that there are double yellow lines at the location also..stopping us and warning us while parked on that dangerous corner of a busy road...what road safety message does that throw out ????
