Late Saturday evening I was heading in an easterly direction in lane 2 on the A127. Light flowing wing traffic, good condtions for all.

I'm in lane 2 doing about 80 units there is a car in lane 1 how pulls out in front of me, no big deal I back off abit. This car then proceeds in lane 2 for a minute or 2 and move back to lane one but indoing so pulls in front of an 04 London registered BMW 328c.

You didn't give them much room I thought. As soon as the thought passed my mind, the BMW pulls straight out into lane 2 and shoots of faster than they were going before.

A few miles later I catch up said german saloon. The speed drops to 60 units but the BMW remains in lane 2 dispite lane 1 being empty. We are now back up to 80 units, still in lane 2 lane 1 still empty.

Now we are in a 40 zone. Lane one is still empty but we are still in lane 2 now doing 40 units.

I figured they are day dreaming and don't want to be held up any longer having being looking at the back of this car for several miles now. Lane one is empty so I move right and perform a perfectly safe under take (Iknow, I know). The instant I am by the side of this car the driver floors it and shoots of at at least 60 units, then moves over into lane one and slows down to 40 units  .

I have kept my momentum (need to, no power) and move to lane 2 to re overtake (remember the traffic is very light) and negociate the roundabout I am approaching. Lane 2 on the roundabout and the BMW overtakes again on the roundabout in lane one.

After 2 overtakes I figured the blonde driving this car is best kept at arms length and let her get on with it.

Hmm, I'd hate to stereotype, but it was a woman in a BMW who took me out on my bike on the M6 last winter. Perhaps it was the same one!

Steriotype away. Blonde woman in a beamer is usually a MAJOR warning sign to me too....

(Hope you and the bike weren't too badly damaged... )

Thanks for your concern! I was okay, but P&J was a write-off; it's all those blasted expensive plastic panels on the VFR VTEC, if you have a bump on the nose theres about 4 that will all sustain some damage, and they cost around £800 each to replace!!!
