We watched this .. and somehow.. was it us?

But we seemed to see Toad as the hero who loved cars and anything whereby speed mattered  - even getting 20 years for a motoring offence.. (OK he TWOCed the wheels and crashed it .. .. :? ) but Badger staating

Quote:

Toad must be saved from himself for his own good .. and must give up cars

I kept thinking of scamerati - Was it me?

Then when the weasels took over Toad Hall.. :rotfl: Something about them made me think of lycra louts in inner cities :rotfl: They even looked like some of them.

It was classic stuff though and we thoroughly enjoyed it anyway!

I did think that 20 years for motoring offences rounded up "because the judge felt like it" sounded a bit like british justice.

I really don't think Toad seems like the sort of person(?) who should be allowed to drive motor cars though.

What I found a teeny bit irritating was that when Toad was wanting to drive he went "poop poop" and pretended to press the horn with the centre of his hand... But cars of that era had mechanical horns on the side of the vehicle, didn't they?! In fact I remember him using one.

I'm sure he would have driven safely if there were speed limits.

ISTR that it was "One year for stealing the motor car", "Three years for crashing it" and "Fifteen years for the truly heinous crime of being cheeky to the police", making "nineteen, rounded up to twenty, just to be sure"... :-)
