Starting on Monday , January 8, 2007, Sky News will spend a week creating
the most comprehensive snapshot of climate change in the UK ever made.

We'll filter out the facts from the hot air and give you pure, practical
advice, free from puff.

But we're also looking for people power!

We want your local and personal stories to add to the Big Picture, our
online map of Climate Change in the UK, at
http://www.sky.com/greenbritain

Be part of it!

This is too far off topic for me, but maybe some of you would like to ask the following questions:

- What's the lifetime carbon cost of a human? Shouldn't we have fewer kids?

- What's the lifetime carbon balance of a windfarm? Do they save carbon emissions?

- What's the lifetime carbon cost of photo voltaics? Can it cut emissions? Or does it produce more CO2 in production than it can save in use?

- What's the lifetime energy cost of a 'green' car? Is it worse than a conventional car?

Don't just sit back and moan - tell them the essential questions.

I don't know what your kids eat. Unless you mean the carbon cost of their actions, which varies

They probably have less carbon cost than building an office block, then they generate power.

Well plants do well with sunlight, and admittedly it would be better if we could make some GM plant that can generate power from the sun. However the carbon cost of solar panneling must be less than constructing a car, and again they generate power.

Probably in this country where a lot of power is gnerated from fossil fuels anyway.

Probably, probably, probably.

The point of this thread is that we could do with having these questions answered definately.

Don't forget this is a news program. Their objective is to generate mass hysteria. Thats how they get viewers. They are not going to do this by saying global warming is a myth are they.

As a journalist one said...."Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story"
