SatNav blamed for ferry accident.
"It told me I could turn left here", said Mrs Plonker yesterday, "It didn't say anything about waiting for the boat to finish docking"

(ok, I realise that's more of a headline than a caption)

Actually, I am curious as to how the driver managed to do that without ending up in the drink!

Neither the car or the boat seem particularly damaged so whatever happened must have happened relativly slowly and yet fast enough for the car not to bottom out and stop with the edge just behind the front whhels (IYSWIM)

Now hold up there Dusty and dont rock the boat... just admire it for what it is! :)

Actually, the boat SHOULD have a bit of a list to Starboard, with that extra weight on the side... but it hasn't!

Also wouldn't you expect a bit of damage to be visible under the car doors?

I guess the boat was right up against the edge so it started to be pushed outwards before the car wheels left the ground.
Looks like America. Could it be one of these automatics which just decided to drive off on it's own?
Would it have to be rear wheel drive to have got out that far?

Me. I posted it to set the ball rolling.

So, before we head off waaaaaay off track debating how it happened or whether it was staged  I'll finish it early.

It was a toss up between Wildy and Smeggy, but:

Runner Up Wildy: "I declare this car well und truly launched."

Winner Smeggy: When I said ‘let’s push the boat out when we buy our new car’, I didn’t mean……
