Shhhhh!
Don't give them any more ideas! Mine has a tow bar!
Unfortunately, it's somewhat redundant now. When our local council in a fit of "green-ness" decided to empty the bins every other week, I think they honstly believed that people would say "oh well, in that case, I'll stop going out and buying stuff just to put in my bin"! Unfortunately, not many people (that I know anyway) put more stuff in their bins than they need to so they still throw the same amount of stuff away - it's just that they make more trips to the tip. In their infinite (lack of) wisdom, the Council issued everyone with TWO new wheelie bins - a black one for household waste and a brown one for garden waste. I rang up to ask what I was supposed to do with the existing grey one and was told I could take it to the tip if I didn't want it... (true story - you couldn't make it up)!
Anyway, not long after this decision, they (curiously) developed a problem with large queues forming at the tip so they decided to ban vans and twin-axle trailers. Unfortunately, mine is a twin-axle trailer. Still, not to worry, it just means I have to make several trips with the car rather than one with the trailer but I'm sure that's better for the environment and local congestion!
Trouble is, now that I can't use my twin axle trailer any more, I don't know how to get rid of it...
..I could take it to the tip but they've banned twin axle trailers...
...maybe I'll do what everyone else seems to be doing increasingly and just fly-tip it somewhere.
